Ismail Meladi, a veteran journalist with 38 years of service in Delhi and Dubai, Ismail Meladi is a senior poet, who has published 10 books. His poems were published in 6 languages - Malayalam, English, Hindi, Arabic, Persian and Tamil.Ismail's poems have been selected for many anthologies around the world. He is the first Indian to present his poems in Arabic at the Emirates Writers Union platform.Ismail has translated poems of prominent Emarati Arabic poets into Malayalam and the poems of expatriate Malayalis into English and Arabic.Ismail was honoured with msny prestigious awards including Haritam TV Kochubava Award for Poetry, Palm Akshara Mudra Award, UAE Exchange - Chiranthana Award, Sahrudaya Padiyath Poetry Award and Arabia Aban Aksharshree Award. Educated at New L.P. School, A.V. High School, and MES College in Ponnani, Shaji began his professional journey as an Assistant Manager at a private firm in Muscat. Today, he successfully runs his own businesses.
